The year has gone again so fast that it is hard to believe it is almost over.
Beginning of the year I passed a breeder course of Finnish Kennel Club and
many International shows went as a trustee in the ring. Otherwise, the time
was spent mostly training my own Goldens and showing my friends' dogs.
Whole the spring Veeti continued this great success in the veteran classes.
The best moments were BIS-2 veteran in February in Finnish Golden Retriever
Club's Championship Show and BIS-2 veteran in April in Golden Open Show. Of
course, others BOB-veteran wins are nice memories. Veeti retired from the
rings end of May, at the age of over 10,5 years. Now he enjoys his relaxing
days at home. His favourite bustle is eating and sleeping, but is still full
of enthusiasm to leave to the forest to train and track. Piece by piece we
heard sad news whole year, when Veeti's father, mother, grand father and
breeder slept away.
With Wilson, we trained a lot of obedience, tracking, fields and every time,
when we had chance, also water rescue. In the end of summer we had a courage
to go to the first obedience competition, which I am very proud of. Two
movements went to the zeros, when this most willing-to-please boy anticipated
the movements, but it did not matter.
This year many of Wilson's offspring have gotten their health results, which
make us proud. Five were x-rayed of the Wilson's Merry-litter in kennel
Yarraman's: 3 * A/A hips and 2* B/B hips with all of them 0/0 elbows. Already
also a couple of youngsters in kennel Skylinedog have x-rayed and all of them
has A/A hips and 0/0 elbows.
What is more, the offspring achieved great show results: Yarraman's Merry
Go-Round got her first CC, BOB & BIG-2, Skylinedog Rose Athena 2*CC, BOS, BOB
& BIG-3 and Croisantin Lady Linchpin CC & BOS. Thank you all owners and
breeders of Wilson's offspring for these results and moments!

Again we could see that the Christmas is almost here, when it was time to
leave to Helsinki, Winner 2008 International dog show. It was pleasure to
visit in the ring again with “Helmi” Terra Antyda Sani New Princess of Heart.
Helmi was EXC-3 out of 21 junior bitches.
Helmi's brother Oiva was EXC-2 out of very big junior dog class.

This year I left to Hyvinkää without my own boys to show and just to look
Goldens. I got to the ring first time with “Helmi” Terra Antyda Sani New
Princess of Heart, who hopely will be as happy and sweet ring mate as her
grand mother V-06 Lorinford Hesperidas was many years.
Helmi was EXC-2 in big junior class.

My godparents Heikki and Lennu drove from Keminmaa to Kajaani celebrate

On Sunday Athena continued her great success and won again intermediate
class with EXC being also Best Bitch, CC and also Best of
Breed. She ended her day in the big rings being BIG-3 !

Athena won intermediate class with Excellent, continued to Best
Bitch, getting CC and being finally BOS.

My boys got to train tracking and enthusiasm was so high, that it is
impossible to describe. Veeti grew many years younger in the forest, when he
got his tracking harness on.

Wilson had his first start in the obedience competition. Essentially we have
trained last five years all the time a bit, but because of me, never really
gone to the competitions. Wilson got good points all the other movements, but
because two movements went to the zero, the result was 3. price in the
Novice class and 125 points. Now we know what to train more…

Wilson's daughter Skylinedog Rose Athena ”Athena” (Wilson x Guldfynd's
Cypripedium Calceolus ) competed in the intermediate class with nice results.

World Winner Show 2008
Stockholm, Sweden 6.7.
We did a lovely trip to Stockholm World Winner show together with team Daily
Rays. We had three Goldens with us, although my own boys stayed at home this
time. We got also nice success: Terra Antyda Sani New Prince of Heart “Oiva”
was in a huge Junior class EXC-2 and his sister Terra Antdya Sani New
Princess of Heart “Helmi” EXC-4. I got to the ring again with lovely FI
W-06 Lorinford Hesperides “Wilma”, who flew in the ring. Wilma ended up
EXC-4 in a high quality Veteran class. There were over 300 Goldens, so we
can be happy that all three got placed in their classes!

The summer camp of the Retriever association of Kainuu
7.-8.6.
We went together with Wilson to train fields, water rescue and tracking for
the weekend in the summer camp of retriever association of our district.
Wilson enjoyed especially training water rescue, retrieving boats and also
drowning persons, with huge enthusiasm. Again we got a lot of drive and tips
for the trainings!

The great summer weather of the Saturday changed to be the cold sleet and
winding weather. There were almost the same 42 Goldens as a day before in the
show too. Veeti was EXC-2 in Veteran class and Wilson's daughter
“Jenna” FI W-07 Croisantin Lady Linchpin (Wilson x Croisantin Beam Beauty) was
EXC-3 in the Open class.

We left to drive to Joensuu very early in the morning with Veeti, Wilson’s
daughter Jenna FI W-07 Croisantin Lady Linchpin (Wilson x Croisantin Beam
Beauty) and Leonberg Maija. There were 42 Goldens in the very sunny summer
weather. Veeti won Veteran class with EXC being BOS-Veteran.
Jenna was first time in Open class, at the age of only 2 years and 2 days, and
continued well winning Open class with EXC, getting her last CC
in the first possible show and finally being BOS!

There were 58 Goldens enrolled to the Spanish judge in Jyväskylä International
dog show. Wilson got VG in the big Open class and Veeti ended his day being
EXC-2 in Veteran class.

We did a long drive for Pori Golden Show to meet our friends and show dogs.
The trip was worth it and we had lovely time. Wilson was first one to go the
ring – he was fourth in Open class from 12 dogs. Judge praised Wilson’s head
and expression, but the whole critique was lovely.
