Since I was a little girl, I have adored Golden retrievers. Year after a year, my biggest highlight was to visit at the home of my father´s aunt, whose friends had Goldens and always visited there. I remember moments, when I was middle of 8 Goldens – I could not believe, I could be happier anywhere else, than middle of those Goldens. Finally, one of the happiest day of my life came – in the end of October 1997, ”Veeti” FI TR CH Wild Magic Maweric moved in to our home, and in to our life. My dream of own Golden came true! Veeti changed fully my life. He taught me a lot about Goldens, dogs´ behavour and training. With Veeti, I got interested into the dog shows and after all we competed five years in Junior handling (1997-2003). Veeti loves to show and he enjoy every second in the ring. Even now, when he is 12 years old and he sees me packing for the shows, he won´t sleep whole night, just to make sure that he won´t be forgetted at home! In Junior handling we achieved great moments together. The best achievements include for example winning the ticket to the Finnish Junior Handling Championship finals 2003 and also winning the Kainuun Districk Championship 2003. Once I calculated that we have won over 50 placements in official competitions...So we travelled thousands of kilometres and we had immemorial trips and moments with my friends and parents. Thank you all who has supported us and trusted their dogs to my hands in the show rings. I also train tracking with my Goldens. Everything started with Veeti, who seemed to be ”made for tracking”. Finally, in 2005 we went to the official trials with great results. In summer 2005, he went to the two tracking competition and got the full points from the one trial and almost the same points from the other trial. In summer 2006 he became Finnish Tracking Champion, after only six trials! After a long waiting and planning, in summer 2003 ”Wilson” Daily Rays Royal Sun Rise padded to our life and conquered our hearts right from the start. Wilson came to fill the empty room after I became too old to compete in Junior handling anymore. Now this lovely man goes to the shows, field trial trainings, water rescue, obedience and tracking with me. The future will show which is the best hobby for us. In the first place, my Golden mates are family members and their most important job is to warm my cold feet and brighten up my days - and they do that as the Champions!
